Our dynamic play-based curriculum includes open learning areas for math, science, dramatic play, music, reading and creative art, balancing both shared and independent learning experiences. We also incorporate outdoor play, yoga and Spanish enrichment into our daily schedule. We encourage progress according to your child’s individual needs.
Songs, instruments, and music spark children’s imagination and engagement. Nursery rhymes teach children about rhyming words. Folk songs incorporate new vocabulary with a beat that builds number sense and early math concepts.
In these weekly experiences, a visiting teaching artist exposes children to different types of music, new songs to learn, and instruments to play. Children learn that music is a way to communicate, express emotion, and share unique cultures from around the world.
Meals are an important part of the day for your growing child. We serve organic lunches and healthy snacks so your child is ready to learn throughout the day.
Encouraging movement and physical activity is essential for young children. Our visiting movement teacher supports children’s development in fun and exciting ways. Yoga promotes emotional self-regulation. Team games build cooperative social skills. Dance requires awareness of your body in space.
In addition to daily physical activity, preschoolers participate in this weekly movement class to promote their overall health and stimulate their physical development.

Babies are born learning. Very young children are learning through play, the active exploration of their environment, and, most importantly, through interactions with the significant adults in their lives.
“Children learn as they play. Most importantly, in play children learn how to learn.”

Recent research confirms that the first five years are particularly important for the development of the child’s brain, and the first three years are the most critical in shaping the child’s brain architecture. Early experiences provide the base for the brain’s organizational development and functioning throughout life. They have a direct impact on how children develop learning skills as well as social and emotional abilities.
Every time I drop her off, I feel that she's safe, eating nutritious meals and snacks, is getting a good education and is interacting with the other children. I get sad knowing that she won't be able to come here next year for kindergarten. But if they offered it, I'd let her stay here!Mel on Yelp
